Minutes June 4, 1996
Members Present: Chrm. J. Dettorre, Vice-Chrm. R. Marshall,
Sec. M. Coughlin, S. Fiorini, J. Jason, J. Qualantona,
Absent: J.Sullivan.
Meeting came to order at 3:21p.m.
J. Qualantona moved to accept secretary's report with the
correction of Dec. 30 changed to Dec. 31 for First Night.
It was seconded by R. Marshall. So voted.
Chrm. Dettorre announced that the CommunicatiOn Committee
met and from our Needs Letter gravel work had already begun
at the Center and a machine to clean the rugs was a
possibility. Members were appreciative of the quick
response.
Chrm. Dettorre had a meeting with the Mayor about the
budget. The Council will receive $40,000 more than last
year but it will not be a full budget.
M. Coughlfn reported she has not heard back from Chief
Pelonzi regarding CPR for the drivers, that she had
information from the American Red Cross regarding
recertification which would be for a fee. After a brief
discussion, it was decided that M. Coughlin would again try
to arrange a time with Chief Pelonzi when he gets back from
vacation.
ChUm. Dettorre stated that J. Jason has sent a letter of
resignation to the Mayor. M. Coughlin volunteered to send a
letter of appreciation to J. Jason for the service and
efforts she has put forth on behalf of the Seniors.
M. Coughlin moved to have J. Qualantona announce that this
year we could welcome nominations for Senior Citizen of 1996
Year from the Senior Club to be submitted to the COA. It
was seconded by S. Fiorini. So voted.
The next meeting will by June 7, 1996 at 3:00 p.m., 90 Colon
St., Beverly, Ma at the Senior Center.
M. Coughlin moved to adjourn seconded by J. Qualantona. So
voted.
Meeting adjourned at 4:42 p.m.
