Minutes May 21, 1996
Members Present: Chrm. J. Dettorre, Vice Chrm. R. Marshall,
Sec. M. Coughlin, S. Fiorini, J0 Qualantona. Absent: J.
Jason, Joe Sullivan
Meeting came to order at 3:05 p.m.
J. Qualantona moved to accept secretary's report with S.
Fiorini seconding it. So voted.
Chrm. Dettorre announced that a captioned machine was
donated by Sylvia Pierce that captions words. Peopl'e can
see that are unable to hear.
Chrm. Dettorre wrote a letter to Derek Wilson expressing
some of the needs that council members perceived as
desirable.
A communication was received from the First Night Committee
for the celebration for December 30, 1996 and for Monday,
December 30, 1996 for the luncheon and entertainment.
M. Coughlin moved to file the letter seconded by J.
Qualantona. So voted.
M. Coughlin will again call Chief Pelonzi regarding CPR for
the van drivers. (for 6-7 people)
J. Qualantona motioned that Senior Care be contacted
explaining about the Outreach worker and the salary problem.
We have someone interested. Would they like to interview
someone or have us do it? S. Fiorini seconded. So voted.
R. Marshall gave the report of a meeting he and M. Coughlin
had concerning Rental Space rules and regulations. As more
work will be done on this no vote was taken at this time.
The next meeting will be June 4, 1996 at 3:00 p.m., 90 Colon
St., Beverly, Ma at the Senior Center.
J. Qualantona moved to adjourn seconded by S. Fiorini.
Meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
