Minutes oI February 13, 1996 Meeting
Members Present:Chairman J. Dettorre, Vice Chrm. R. Marshall, M.
Coughlin, J. Jason, J. Qualantona. Absent: S. Fiorini, J. Sullivan.
Kathleen Fitzgibbons, Director was present.
Meeting was called to order by Chr. Dettorre at 3:00 P.M.
Secretary's report was read by M. Coughlin.
R. Marshall made a motion seconded by J. Qualantona to accept the
corrected minutes. ( Correction, J. Dettorre does not vote unless there
is a tie) All in favor.
There was no report from the building committee relative to School Dept.
using the facility as Dr. Chase has not been heard from. The committee
members will continue to try to reach him as details must be worked out
immediately.
A report was given by J. Qualantona on the work his committee is in the
process of working on to address the procedures to be used by the
personnel committee.
It was moved by R. Marshall and seconded by J. Qualantona to accept the
personnel report thus given. Voted to accept by all.
A discussion ensued relative to the proposed Spaghetti Dinner. Dates
were discussed with the final action being for J. Dettorre to present
dates at the next meeting. He will check with the Vittorri Rocci Post
and inform the council.
After a discussion on requests for keys to the Center, J.Qualantona made
a motion seconded by R. Marshall to temporarily have board members open
and close the Center for various activities until a person authorized to
do so is availablej Unanimously voted.
M. Coughlin volunteered to open and close the Center on the days in
March that the School Dept. has requested for teachers' workshop
provided details are finalized.
J. Jason informed the council that the afternoon Bingo group
contributed $100.00 for the Easter decorations.
Director Fitzgibbons presented the 1996-1997 budget which was
scrutinized line by line. There was agreement that the budget was very
frugal.
M. Coughlin informed the council that she had discussed the Micro-Max
software Program sponsored by the Boston Dept. of Health and Hospitals
with the Danvers coordinator for which a grant administered by the
Social Security Office is being offered in Danvers.
Director Fitzgibbons was asked by M. Coughlin to check into the details
to see if this program might be feasible for the Beverly Center.
The scheduled meeting for February 20, 1996 has been canceled.
The next meeting will be held February 27, 1996 at 3:00P.M., 90 Colon
St., Beverly, Ma at the Senior Center.
J. Jason moved to adjourn seconded by J. Qualantona.
Meeting adjourned at 4:43 P.M.
