Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Marshall Handly made the motion, seconded by Joanne Panunzio, to accept the minutes of the regular
meeting of November 27, 2018 as read. Motion passed.
Public Presentation
There was no public presentation to the board.
Committee Reports
Personnel: No report.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Personnel: The Head of Branch Library Services position has been posted.
2) Trustee Terms: Anna Langstaff emailed Martha Lewis regarding the Trustees with expiring terms.
Martha Lewis replied that Colleen Marshall was being invited in to meet with Mayor Cahill.
3) The Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2020 has been approved by the Massachusetts Board of Library
Commissioners.
4) Holiday Schedule: The library will be closed on December 24 and December 25. The library will close
early, at 4pm, on December 31, and will be closed on January 1, 2019.
5) Program Highlights: Allison Babin shared attendance statistics for recent library programs. Wreath
decorating: 62 attendees; Holiday Henna for Teens: 54 attendees; Nutcracker Tea at the Farms Branch: 90
attendees; and Winter Book Crafts: approximately 25 attendees.
