Cook calls the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Sign: Taste Buds Kitchen - 131 Rantoul Street
The applicant is proposing a push - through wall sign instead of the awning signs
previously presented. Applicant notes that she could come back at a later time to apply
for the awning signs.
There being no further questions or comments regarding this matter:
Matthews: Moves to approve the wall sign as presented. Cook seconds
the motion. The motion carries (4 -0 -1), with Flannery abstaining from the
vote.
Sign: Fazio Mobile Beverly - 453 Essex Street
The applicant is proposing to remove the existing awning sign and replace it with a new
awning sign. Cook and Flannery note the clean look. Flannery asks about the lighted
window sign and if they are flashing. Applicant responds that they do not flash. Wynne
will research whether the applicant needs to return to have the lighted window signs
reviewed and get back with the applicant.
There being no further questions or comments regarding this matter:
Flannery: Moves to approve the awning sign as presented. Cook
seconds the motion. The motion carries (5 -0).

Sign: Shear Radiance - 125 Bridge Street
The applicant is proposing to alter the sign for a new logo, and all other aspects of the
sign will stay the same.
There being no further questions or comments regarding this matter:
Cook: Moves to approve the freestanding sign as presented. Flannery
seconds the motion. The motion carries (5 -0).
The applicant asks about the next steps. Wynne responds that the building department can
answer questions about the need for a permit.
Sign: Quick Mart - 246 Elliott Street (formal action only)
Wynne states that the applicant has resubmitted plans that incorporate the requested
changes from the previous meeting. Wynne confirms that the same typeface is used on
the banner as on the wall sign.
There being no further questions or comments regarding this matter:
Cook: Moves to approve the revised sign plans. Margolis seconds the
motion. The motion carries (5 -0).
Sign: Starbucks - 242 Elliott Street
The applicant is proposing to add a new wall sign to the side of the building to note the
drive -thru. The existing drive -thru sign will change from an oval to a rectangle to include
the logo and will be the same square footage. The front facade sign will change from
green to white. Cook notes that the ordinance does not allow for an additional wall sign
on the side of the building, and also feel this sign is not helpful in locating the drive -thru.
Wynne adds that the additional wall sign on the side would need a special permit.
There being no further questions or comments regarding this matter:
Cook: Moves to approve all signs as presented except the new wall sign
on the side of the building. Flannery seconds the motion. The motion
carries (5 -0).
Informal Site Plan Review: 211 Rantoul Street
Wynne announces that the applicant needs to make additional changes to the site plan and
will not be presenting at this time.
