Jerry Guilebbe called the meeting to order at 5:00pm.

Jerry Guilebbe made a motion to approve the minutes. Motion was seconded and carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
VETERANS COUNCIL MEETING

Financial Report— Per David Perinchief, the current balance is $12,425.63. Jerry
Guilebbe made a motion to accept the financial report. Motion was seconded and carried.
David made a motion to use council funds to pay for the Veterans Day wreaths. Motion
was seconded and carried.
Bob Laws made a motion to have council funds cover the $100.00 cost of the video from
Veterans Day ceremony and the dedication. Motion was seconded and carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Veterans Day & Vietnam Veterans Memorial Dedication — Held on November 11, 2019, with
Veterans Agent, David Perinchief, as the MC for Veterans Day. Commander Chuck Clark served
as the MC for the Dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The ceremonies went well
and they were well attended.
Holiday Parade —the council will be participating in the 2019 Holiday Parade.
Website — David Perinchief will check to see if the council member names are correct on the
website and that all council members have been approved.
NEW BUSINESS
VETERANS COUNCIL MEETING

Connolly Bros. contacted David Perinchief regarding a matching donation. They are willing to
match $7500.00 if the council does a public fundraising event. They are going to set aside
$10,000.00 a year for repairs that Chapter 115 will not cover.
David Perinchief reached out to Bit Bar in Salem regarding an annual event.
The SHRAB grant has been approved for Stage 1. Stage 2 is due January 14, 2019. If the grant
goes through it will be $15,000.00 and the City will match $15,000.00. This will be the
beginning of more grave restoration /research project.
While researching for the grave restoration /research project, Ken McKay found that Mr. Cabot
provided 40 ships for the Revolutionary War and there is no recognition for him. David
Perinchief spoke to Seth Moulton's office. Jorge from Seth Moulton's office would like to meet
up to discuss this further.
Ken McKay has also found four previously unknown Badge of Military Merit recipients. One is
from Beverly. The Army Historical Branch was contacted to validate the recipients.
GOOD OF THE ORDER
December 7t is Pearl Harbor Day. At 11am, there is going to do a ceremony at the Spear Post.
They will tie in the 100 anniversary of the end of WWI, the beginning of the Centennial of the
American Legion, and a salute to Herman Spear, who died on the USS Nevada at Pearl Harbor.

There will not be a meeting in December.
