Chairman Carbone called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.

Toni Canille of E. P. Management Corp. has requested a lifeguard waiver for Tuck Point
Condominiums pool for this season. It is a four foot deep pool and is open every day from
noon til six o'clock. Coastal Pool trains the attendents that monitor the pool and it is tested
four times per day.
Ms. Higgins motioned to approve waiver, Mr. Alpine seconded.
Stefano Basso, AIA of Siemasko & Verbridge, was asking the Board for a letter of no
objection because the unisex toilets in the recently renovated Omelette Factory do not meet the
requirements of the building /plumbing code. This was overlooked by the plumbing inspector in
the plans before going forward with building the establishment. To prevent reconstuction to the
space to correct the problem, they need the letter of no objection from the Board of Health to
present to the State Board of Examiner of Plumbers and Gas Fitters as part of a variance request.
The Board had no objection providing the letter. Mr. Alpine motioned to approve, Ms. Higgins
seconded. Vote unanimous.
The Board continued discussing the topic of amending and /or repealing parts of the Noise Control
Regulations. Mr. Burke had a proposal of a blend of City Regulations and the State
Regulations. Ms. Higgins commented that it seems clear and straightforward being consistant
with DEP Regulations. The definition of "noise" should be "excessive noise ". Mr. Alpine
would like to review the changes better before it goes to the Solicitor. The question of nuisance
citations and penalties would also be discussed.
Mr. Burke had a few updates for the Board.
On February 12 a site visit was conducted of the Health Center space at the High School with
Patterson Dental, Mike Collins DPS Commisioner, Judy Tanzella, Dental Hygenist,
and Mr. Burke for the purpose of seeking an estimate of the relocation of Dental equipment
(chair, compressor, etc.).
Ms. Tanzella is also soliciting quotes from Patterson regarding a new suction compressor and
potential digital x -ray software.
Teresa Kirsch, Public Health Nurse, attended the Danvers YMCA Flu Clinic on February 1st
She used 28 doses of our vaccine and 100 doses were given out altogether.
The Household Hazardous Waste Collection will be held on March 24 at Beverly High School.
Flyers and press releases will go out of the public and volunteers are signed up. Mass Mosquito
Control will be collecting tires again.
On February 27', Mr. Burke and Ms. Kirsch as part of Be Healthy Beverly, participated with
offering "In Plain Site ", an interactive display of a child's room to enlighten parents of potential
drug paraphanalia, potential hiding places and literature. The program was in conjuction with the
school departments hosting of Dr. Ruth Potee presentation "The Physiology of Addiction ".

Respectfully submitted,
Kathy McCullough
