Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Bob Hobbs, Cynthia Montalbano, Claire -Marie Hart,

Meeting Called to Order Claire -Marie Co- Chairperson
Secretary's Report Minutes were accepted with one correction, the addition of
Ann Horrigan was in attendance.
Director's Report
Building Concerns Mary Ann discussed a request for a "memory" bench with a
plaque to be installed on the grounds.
Discussion on building being used as a shelter when we are not
properly staffed to do so.
Administrative and Finance Mary Ann discussed YTD Budget review. The Budget is currently
on track
Programs and Events "7 Steps to Managing Your Memory" Dr Andrew Budson ,
Director of Education at Boston University Alzheimer's Disease
Center will be presenting a lecture at the Beverly Council on
Aging May 17 Time -5:30 to 7:30 pm Registration begins
on April 2"
Gloucester House Fund Raiser for Meals on Wheels March 16
Meetings /Activities /Clients Intern and Merrimack Fellow, Amy was interviewed on
"Living the Good Life"
Intergenerational Game Night March 1s and March 22"
4:30 to 6:00 pm Pizza will be served this free event is sponsored
through Tuffs Health Plan Foundation. Advanced sign up needed.
Meetings /Activities /Clients Continued
Valentine Parry was well attended and a good time was had
by all.
Workshop April 4 th from 9 to 11 am "All Ages Together"
Intern and Merrimack Fellow Amy will be running the
workshop.
Volunteer Luncheon scheduled for April
Outreach Event was held at Turtle Creek
Staff Meeting took place goals discussed will be presented
at the next Directors Meeting.
Planning is ongoing for Older American month in May.
Mayor Cahill will present a Trash /Recycle program on
March 13th
Personnel Updates Merrimack Fellow Interviews continue
Committee Reports
Scholarship Committee did not meet this month.
Awards Committee did not meet this month
Old Business
New Business Bob may be taking a medical leave of absence from the
Board.
Announcements City Council Meeting March 19 at 7 pm Mary Ann is
looking for Board members to attend.
