MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
JULY 12, 2004
PRESENT: Commissioners Barnico, Mahoney, Simpson, Trask, and White
ABSENT: Commissioners Duval, Lydon, Nelson, and Tognazzi
PUBLIC: Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Steve Castleman, Rich Little, Ken
Robinson, Jay Wessell, Dave Pais, Tim Whitman, and Rich Mello
A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman White called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1. Presentations:
·
Edwards and Kelcey Update – Craig Schuster informed the
commission of the July 19, 2004 pre-construction meeting on the
West Side Security Fencing and Runway 9/27 Crack Fill Project.
Mr. Schuster also updated the commission on the proposed
PAPI’s.
2. Reading of the Minutes for June 2004 – Chairman White called for a
reading of the minutes from the June meeting. Commissioner Mahoney
made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Trask.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report – Chairman White presented the financial
report for June 2004. Commissioner Trask made a motion to accept the
financial report subject to audit, seconded by Commissioner Mahoney.
Motion passed unanimously.
B. OLD BUSINESS
Subcommittee Reports:

Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee – Commissioner Mahoney updated
the commission on the status of the Tom Ford, cell tower, and ANE
proposed leases.
·
Public Relations Subcommittee – Commissioner Simpson updated the
commission on the proposed tree cutting at the end of RW 27 area.
·
Facility Maintenance Subcommittee – Airport Manager Mezzetti updated
the commission on recent facilities’ inspections with Commissioners Lydon
and Tognazzi.

C. NEW BUSINESS
·
In accordance with lease articles, the use of General Aviation Services
leases was approved as collateral for the loan by David and Lisa Pais with
North Shore Bank.
D. AIRPORT MANAGER’S REPORT
·
Airport Manager Mezzetti updated the commission on the traffic count,
West Side Security Fence and Runway 9/27 Crack Fill Project, BVY
PAPI’s, status of proposed leases, airport security and the DNC, airfield
maintenance, airport maintenance, airport inspections, and proposed survey
work.

Commissioner Trask thanked Ken Robinson and Jay Wessell for their help

with aviation activities for the Town of Danvers July 3 barbeque.

Vice Chairman Barnico reminded the commission about the need for a
reviewing stand for youngsters to view airport activities.

Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Trask, seconded by Vice Chairman
Barnico. Motion passed unanimously.
