Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Marshall Handly made the motion, seconded by Joanne Panunzio, to accept the minutes of the
regular meeting of November 28, 2017 as read. Motion passed.
Public Presentation
None.
Committee Reports
Personnel: Joanne Panunzio will be using Survey Monkey for staff to evaluate the Library
Director.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: The Strategic Plan and Action Plan have been approved by the
Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
Report of the Library Director
1) On Tuesday, January 2, 2018, City Councilors will be sworn in. 2) Anna Langstaff met with
Julie Flowers, City Councilor - elect, on Monday, December 11, to lay out the library's role in the
community. 3) Holiday closings: The library will be closed on December 24, 25, and 26. The
library will close at 4PM on December 31 and will be closed on January 1.

The next meeting of the board will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 6:OOPM at the Beverly
Public Library.
