Meeting Minutes

Meeting Called to Order: 2:35 pm by Claire -Marie Hart, Co- chairperson
Secretary's Report October notes accepted as written, with one correction, Jessica Wistran
was not present.
Director's Report
Building Concerns and Usage
The sprinkler system has been turned off for the winter.
We are waiting to hear an estimate for our leaking boiler pumps.
The building was safely evacuated for a fire drill. The center passed the
Fire dept. drill successfully.
Administration and Finance
Budget Discussed. The center is in good shape with 34.6% of the budget spent.
Beverly Hospital will sponsor our Silver Anniversary Party on November 30
Beverly Hospital will be funding the next cycle of Aging Mastery program.
The Center will be closed in November on the 13 23r & 24
Programs and Events
The Halloween Party was a smash this year, and the DJ was a hit.
Breakfast Club had its first meeting on October 12; next meeting at BHS on November 9.
A Coffee Hour with Veterans Agent, David Perinchief on November 9 followed by a breakfast
for veterans and others.
The Open House was well attended and a complete success. Over two hundred seniors attended.
Wall of Fame ceremony will take place on November 14th
Meetings /Activities /Clients
Mary Ann, Jessica and Patti attended the MCOA conference held at the Double Tree in Danvers
this year. Mayor Cahill and Bruce Doig also attended the Plenary Session at which Governor
Baker was the speaker
The Staff took part in an "active Shooter Training" We Passed this Intense, necessary
training and are prepared should a situation arise.
Activities of Daily Living training for staff will take place in December.
The Senior Survey was sent out to over 3,000 seniors we have information on 867 that have
filled out and returned their information. We are hoping to get that number up to 1,000.
Personnel Updates
Social Worker has been hired. Blair Smith will be joining the team at the Senior
Center.
Mary Ann will be taking vacation the week of November 20 and also
December 21S through January 2"
New Business
The Mayor met with Susan Feeney and her name will be submitted to City Council for approval.
