MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 16, 2004
PRESENT: Commissioners Barnico, Duval, Lydon, Mahoney, Nelson, Simpson,
Tognazzi, and White
ABSENT: Commissioner Trask
PUBLIC: Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Angier Ames, Rich Little, John Little,
Victor Capozzi, Ken Robinson, Jay Wessell, Richard Pais, Chris Randall,
and Rich Mello
A. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman White called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
1. Presentations:
·
Edwards and Kelcey Update – Craig Schuster updated the
commission on the West Side Fence and Runway 9/27 Crack Fill
Project and the proposed Runway 9 PAPI Project.
2. Reading of the Minutes for May 2004 – Chairman White called for a
reading of the minutes from the May meeting. Commissioner Mahoney
made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Vice Chairman Barnico.
Motion passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report – Chairman White presented the financial
report for May 2004. Commissioner Duval made a motion to accept the
financial report subject to audit, seconded by Commissioner Tognazzi.
Motion passed unanimously.
B. OLD BUSINESS
Subcommittee Reports:

Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee – Commissioner Mahoney presented
the Subcommittee’s recommendation that Aviators of New England (ANE)
proceed with its self-service fueling planning. Approval, however, would
be predicated on ANE’s plan and obtaining certain permits and approvals.
After discussion, the Commission decided to first review proposed self-
service minimum standards that Airport Manager Mezzetti will prepare and
mail to commission members prior to a meeting to be held June 28, 2004.

Public Relations Subcommittee – Commissioner Simpson informed the
commission of a meeting he was having with neighbors regarding tree
obstructions on June 22, 2004.

Facility Maintenance Subcommittee – Commissioner Lydon will get
together with Commissioner Tognazzi for discussions.
C. NEW BUSINESS
None
D. AIRPORT MANAGER’S REPORT
·
Airport Manager Mezzetti updated the Commission on the traffic count,
leases, security fence and runway crack fill projects, PAPI’s, airfield
maintenance, and inspections.
CHAIRMAN/COMMISSION COMMENTS

Vice Chairman Barnico updated the commission on City Council and
Planning Board meetings that included airport-related items.
·
Chairman White updated the commission on the June MAC meeting.
·
Commissioner Duval provided details on the DNC flight restrictions.
·
Commissioner Lydon would like to do facility inspections, Thursday, June
24, 2004 starting at 2:00PM.
F. ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn made by Commissioner Lydon, seconded by Commissioner
Nelson. Motion passed unanimously.
