Ms. Kirsch conducted a couple of small flu clinics (10/20 and 1 1/19). A total of 25 doses
were administered.
The administrative staff is in the process of compiling and mailing the annual permit renewal
applications that expire as of December 31. The food permit applications will include sign
ups for Choke Savers Classes commencing in January and given by Northeast Regional
Ambulance.
The discussion on the Tobacco Regulations continued with capping or reducing the number
of tobacco pen in the city. All members agreed to cap number of permits at 44. Dr. Carbone
motioned to approve, Ms. Higgins seconded, Mr. Alpine approved. All in favor. No cigar
bars will be allowed.
Joyce Redford had looked into the two motels in the city. They are both smoke free.
Some of the members of the Board would like to see those in violation of tobacco regulations
receive a more severe penalty. The fines and tobacco sales pen suspensions should be
increased.
Joyce Redford, along with Donald J. Wilson, Director of the Tobacco Control Assistance
Program, will incorporate today's discussion into a draft for review.
The next scheduled meeting is December 14, 2016.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathy McCullough
