Henderson Road, Beverly, MA, 01915 PRESENT: Commissioners Brean, Dawe, Faulstich, Forgione, Gentile, Lund, Mahoney, Nelson, and Trefry ABSENT: None PUBLIC: Tony Bettencourt, Ace Chase, Charlene Chase, Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Ken Robinson, and Wes Slate A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Mahoney called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Reading of the Minutes for October 2016 — Chairman Mahoney called for a reading of the minutes from the October 2016 meeting. Vice Chairman Faulstich made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Trefry. Motion passed unanimously. 3. Reading of the Financial Report for October 2016 — Airport Manager Mezzetti presented the financial report for October 2016. Commissioner Brean made a motion to accept the financial report, subject to audit. Vice Chairman Faulstich seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 4. Presentation(s) — • Airport Solutions Group (ASG) — Craig Schuster updated the commission on the RW9 tree penetrations and neighbor discussions. 5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Mahoney reported on: • Status of Airport Manager search • Noise complaint from Danvers resident Al Capachietti • RW 9 tree penetrations and neighbor status • Potential modification of Meeting Room Policy B. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Subcommittee Reports • Property/Legal/Finance/Noise Abatement Subcommittee — Covered in the Chairman's Report. 1 BEVERLY REGIONAL AIRPORT MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2016 • Facility Maintenance — Vice Chairman Faulstich reported that the Beverly Police Detectives are now in Building #45; that the back of Building #45 is to be paved, work on Inspectional Services may start in the spring; and concrete repairs to the restaurant sill will be addressed in the spring. He also said we should formalize an agreement with the City now that addresses how rent will be paid to the airport once the ten -year "in lieu of rent" time is over. • Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner Forgione reported over 2,398 hits on the airport website for the month of October. • Publicity/Public Relations Subcommittee — No Report • Safety & Security Subcommittee — Nothing to report. • Airport Layout Plan Subcommittee — No Report • Special Projects Subcommittee — Commissioner Lund reported that the City did a good job revamping the Vietnam War Memorial helicopter and we should give those who worked on it a thank you. C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT: Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fees, TXY Edge Lights/PAPI /Airport Signs project, lease approvals, tree penetration status, noise abatement, snow removal, Airport Manager search, Fire Department meeting, New Admin Building, and development interest. D. NEW BUSINESS: None E. TENANT COMMENTS: Bill Kossowan said AOPA is taking a "wait and see" attitude with President -Elect Trump. He also mentioned the pilot shortage occurring in the country. • Ace Chase spoke about an airport abutter who was feeding seagulls at his house. F. COMMISSION COMMENTS: Pilots may now enter the New Admin Building's Pilot Lounge by entering the four digit number of the Control Tower frequency followed by the star symbol. vii.
