MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

PRESENT: Commissioners Brean, Dawe, Faulstich, Forgione, Gentile, Lund, Mahoney, Nelson, and
Trefry
ABSENT: None
PUBLIC: Tony Bettencourt, Ace Chase, Charlene Chase, Dave Graham, Craig Schuster, Ken
Robinson, and Wes Slate
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Mahoney called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for September 2016 — Chairman Mahoney called for a reading of
the minutes from the September 2016 meeting. Commissioner Lund made a motion to
accept the minutes, seconded by Vice Chairman Faulstich. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report for September 2016 — Airport Manager Mezzetti presented
the financial report for September 2016. Vice Chairman Faulstich made a motion to accept
the financial report, subject to audit. Commissioner Dawe seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) —
• Airport Solutions Group (ASG) — Craig Schuster updated the commission on the
RW9 and RW27 tree penetrations.
5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Mahoney reported on:
• RW9 tree obstructions
• Weekly New Admin Building Project conference call
• Airport Manager search
• Recent noise complaints
• Conference Room Meeting Policy
B. OLD BUSINESS:

• Property/Legal/Finance/Noise Abatement Subcommittee — Covered in the
Chairman's Report.

• Facility Maintenance — Vice Chairman Faulstich updated the commission on the
progress of renovations at Building #45 i.e. insulation, flooring, and restroom.
• Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner Forgione reported over 4,000
hits on the airport website for the month of September.
• Publicity/Public Relations Subcommittee — No Report
• Safety & Security Subcommittee — Commissioner Gentile recommended timely
after - action meetings with emergency responders after airport accidents.
• Airport Layout Plan Subcommittee — No Report
• Special Projects Subcommittee — Commissioner Lund provided an update on the
helicopter memorial renovations.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fees, MALS
outages, TXY Edge Lights/PAPI /Airport Signs project, and recent noise complaints.
D. NEW BUSINESS:
Motion to form an Airport Manager Search Committee. Vice Chairman Faulstich made a motion to
form an Airport Manager Search Committee to fill departing Airport Manager Mezzetti's position, to
be comprised of Chairman Mahoney, Vice Chairman Faulstich, Commissioners Dawe, Forgione,
Gentile, Trefry, and Airport Manager Mezzetti. Seconded by Commissioner Lund, motion passed
unanimously.
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
• Ken Robinson talked about airport use due to a future golf tournament.
• Wes Rosen reported that the MALS system was still unreliable.
F. COMMISSION COMMENTS: None

Motion to adjourn made by Vice Chairman Faulstich, seconded by Commissioner Forgione. Motion
passed unanimously.
