PRESENT: Commissioners Brean, Dawe, Faulstich, Forgione, Gentile, Lund, Mahoney, Nelson, and
Trefry
ABSENT: None
PUBLIC: Ace Chase, Charlene Chase, Paul Beaulieu, Bill Kossowan, Craig Schuster, Ken Robinson,
Tom Lyons, and Bob Knight
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Mahoney called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for August 2016 — Chairman Mahoney called for a reading of the
minutes from the August 2016 meeting. Commissioner Nelson made a motion to accept the
minutes, seconded by Commissioner Brean. Motion passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report for August 2016 — Airport Manager Mezzetti presented the
financial report for August 2016. Commissioner Trefry made a motion to accept the
financial report, subject to audit. Commissioner Nelson seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) —
• Airport Solutions Group (ASG) — Craig Schuster covered the items on the ASG
monthly status report for August 2016 and updated the commission on the RW9
tree penetrations.
5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Mahoney reported on:
• Team approach to neighbors with trees penetrating the RW9 approach
• Admin Building Open House
• Interview with BevCam
• Airport Manager Search
• Puddling from New Admin Building roof
• 1010 Hangar and BAT lease status
• Restaurant Status

1. Subcommittee Reports
• Property/Legal/Finance/Noise Abatement Subcommittee — Chairman Mahoney
updated the commission on the status of the 1010 Hangar lease and BAT lease.
• Facility Maintenance — Vice Chairman Faulstich updated the commission on the
progress of renovations at Building #45.
• Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner Forgione reported over 1,200
hits on the airport website for the month of August.
• Publicity/Public Relations Subcommittee — Commissioner Nelson reported that the
Salem News wants to be present when the Danvers Selectmen or other key people
come to tour the New Admin Building.
• Safety & Security Subcommittee — Commissioner Gentile suggested having an
Airport Safety Plan meeting.
• Airport Layout Plan Subcommittee — Commissioner Brean reported no updates to
the ALP.
• Special Projects Subcommittee — Commissioner Lund reported that there was no
update on the Vietnam Helicopter Memorial.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fees, New
Admin Building Open House, C.I.P. TXY Edge Lights/PAPI /Airport Signs project, Wyler and
Battistelli leases, Airport Manager's computer crash, RW9 obstructions, Wings of Freedom tour, New
Admin Building Meeting Room Policy, noise complaints, part -time snow removal personnel search,
and Airport Manager's retirement in January.
D. NEW BUSINESS: None
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
• Ken Robinson talked about Hangar #47 renovation and moving aircraft for the Wings of
Freedom event.
• Bill Kossowan updated the commission on drone use.
• Beverly Flight Center reported a 42% in students.
• Perception Prime brought the commission up -to -date on their flight school activities and hopes
the commission will find a good "open policy" for the use of the New Admin Building.
