Neuman motions to approve the minutes May 2016 minutes as amended, seconded by Simon. All approved, motion passes (7 -0) Executive Session • Meeting moved into executive session with members: Chair Paul Earl, Don Neuman, George Simon, Paul Miedzionoski, Scott Houseman, Pat McAleer, Emily Flaherty • Meeting exited executive session with members: Chair Paul Earl, Don Neuman, George Simon, Paul Miedzionoski, Scott Houseman, Pat McAleer, Emily Flaherty Facilities Report • Docks repairs complete for recreation side 4 boat owners still owe - commercial side 5 boat owners still owe - recreation side Bathrooms — completed small glitch in electronic door locks — working on occupancy indicator Cleaning — contractor Sammy Cleaning quoted $95 /visit. Earl suggests getting more bids — those with contacts will get in touch with Dever to gather more bids. Earl will discuss with the Mayor re- opening decision on public shower as there is concern on issues that may arise. Harbor Management Authority Minutes of June 15, 2016 Public Walkway ribbon cutting on 6/20 for public walkway signage ordered and to be installed end of June Miedzionoski suggests that HMA not be charged $10,000 by the City for services in exchange for keeping 6 public service boats @ commercial marina. Financials • Enterprise fund is down $3,000 Active Projects • Recreation Float Pilings Dever filed permits at registry of deeds to do temp work for float blocks — Conservation Commission passed and waiting on building inspector to approve. Pilings are favored for stability and maintenance reasons, and are now allowable that DPA is lifted. This is a $300,000 - $400,000 project and Newman suggests beginning the process now to make construction begin following the winter flounder time of year restriction. McAleer suggest that the new RFP for 1 Water Street incorporates improvements to area — there are safety and maintenance issues for city to be invested in. Simon not in favor of depleting HMA funds below $50,000 for piling project. Dever will follow -up with building inspector, Newman will follow -up with Army Corp of Engineers, Earl will follow up with selected City officials. Harbor Fest Earl requests that members look at the list of food vendors and activities, and make suggestions. Would like to pin down most food vendors and activities this month. Bass River Dredging Newman suggests discussing realistic outlook with the Mayor, based on recent communications with ACE and EPA. Other Rnsiness • Application for use of Glover Wharf — Newman presented notes and agenda item will be added to next month's meeting. Adjournment Simon motions to adjourn meeting, McAleer seconds.
