Lynch Trustees & the Beverly Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting called to order at 7: IOPM by Joan Fairbank, Chairman. Presentation was made by Courtney Melei regarding the ongoing effort to rebuild Pete's Park in Centerville to ask for financial assistance for the project. The architect from Dale Design, Inc. also participated in the presentation. Minutes from the last Trustees meeting were read. Motion made by Alice Burns to accept the minutes from the October 22, 2015 meeting at the Carriage House at Lynch Park. Motion seconded by Joyce Frisiello, approved by all. Carriage House Update Bruce Doig reported that three doors with transoms have been installed in the main room in the Carriage House and the fourth door is awaiting installation. The doors were delivered natural with a coat of polyurethane. The intent had been to stain the doors to match the wood walls but will leave them as is for now. Screens and railings to be installed and then cleanup. First event is a wedding on May 16 Security System Update $25,000 had been approved for updating the security system, $31,796.20 is the current cost. Need to approve difference of $6,796.20. Kevin Hobin moved to make a motion to approve the additional cost, seconded by Mark Casey, approved by all. Dane Street Beach The main installation of the new playground is scheduled for May 21 -22. The concrete pads are scheduled for next Wednesday. The services donated for the crane required. The grand opening is scheduled for June 12, 2016. Lynch Park Mike Collin's crew fixed the damage to the swing arm on the gate from the second incidence. So funds from the $2,000 earmarked for gate repair haven't been needed yet. New cameras will be visible but not advertised. Kathy Doane requested funding for paid help to weed and maintain the annual beds in the Rose Garden. Kathy will find resource. Joan suggested $1,200 - $1,400. Motion made by Joyce Frisiello to approve, motion seconded by Alice Burns, approved by all. Obear Park CPC providing $47,000 for pavilion. Concrete pad could be$5,000 - $6,000. Bruce Doig requested funding for $5,000. Motion made by Kevin Hobin to approve up to $5,000, seconded by Mark Casey and approved by all. Cove Tennis Courts Bruce Doig reported the CPC would provide $100,000 towards the courts. The total needed will be known by fall. Rollout Pads for Dane Street and Lynch Park Beaches Bruce asked for $10,000 for rollout walkways that can be used for wheelchair access into the water. Pads would be available at the beaches and put into place when requested. Motion made by Joyce Frisiello to appropriate the funding, seconded by Mark Casey, approved by all. Pete's Park Discussion of funding to be approved for the rebuilding of Pete's Park rebuilding. Joan Fairbank made a motion to appropriate $10,000, seconded by Joyce Frisiello, approved by all. Agenda topics for the next Trustees' meeting • Election of officers • Amount of expendable funding available • Camp Mitchell is up for sale • Bruce Doig - possible project if we want to make a significant investment • Joan Fairbank - Would require a site visit to see property Next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, 2016, 7:OOPM at the Carriage House Entertain motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:OOPM, unanimously approved.
