PRESENT: Commissioners Faulstich, Forgione, Lund, Mahoney, Nelson, and Trefry
ABSENT: Commissioners Brean and Dawe
PUBLIC: Jim Baker, Paul Beaulieu, Tony Bettencourt, Ace & Charlene Chase, Bill Kossowan, Ken
Robinson, Tom Lyons, and Craig Schuster
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Mahoney called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for April 2016 — Chairman Mahoney called for a reading of the
minutes from the April 2016 meeting. Vice Chairman Faulstich made a motion to accept the
minutes, seconded by Commissioner Lund. Motion passed unanimously.
Reading of the Financial Report for April 2016 — Airport Manager Mezzetti presented the
financial report for April 2016. Vice Chairman Faulstich made a motion to accept the
financial report, subject to audit. Commissioner Lund seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) —
• Airport Solutions Group (ASG) — Craig Schuster covered the items on the ASG
monthly status report e. g. RW9 obstructions, RW27 approach obstructions,
RW16/34 length, RW16 MALS, and U. S. Customs office at BVY.
5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Mahoney reported on:
• The status of the New Admin Building and its proposed completion date
• Recruiting the "Singing State Trooper" for the New Admin Building ribbon cutting
ceremony
• Replacing former Commissioner Peter Skerry with Peter Gentile
• A proposed quarterly meeting on June 8 or 9 between City Hall and the BAC
B. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Subcommittee Reports
• Property/Legal/Finance/Noise Abatement Subcommittee — Chairman Mahoney
reported the subcommittee had a meeting with Ryan Gardner (10 10 Hangars, LLC)

and Alan Battistelli (BAT Hangar, LLQ regarding the finalization of their proposed
leases.
• Facility Maintenance — Vice Chairman Faulstich updated the commission on the
progress at Building #45.
• Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner Forgione reported there were
1,685 hits in April 2016. He also discussed new Beverly Regional Airport shirts and
hats. Motion by Commissioner Forgione to order 15 shirts and 15 hats. The motion
was seconded by Commissioner Nelson and passed unanimously.
• Publicity/Public Relations Subcommittee — Commissioner Nelson reported that June
21s' may be a date for an airport presentation to be made to the Danvers Selectmen.
Also, she will coordinate with Ethan from the Salem News.
• Safety & Security Subcommittee — No Report
• Airport Layout Plan Subcommittee — No Report
• Special Projects Subcommittee — Commissioner Lund updated the commission on
the painting of the Vietnam War Memorial Helicopter.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fees, New
Admin Building project, tenant space appraisal, FEMA encroachment, Airport Commission
Membership Ordinance change, U. S. Customs' interest in the airport, and the cell tower lease
extension request.
