Minutes of the previous meeting could not be approved due to lack of a quorum.

Personnel: No report.

Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) FY2015: Patricia Cirone reviewed FY2015 budget. 2) Building: New shelving for 3 d floor has
been installed. 3) Capstone: There is no update on the problem of the capstones. 4) Building
Needs: There is no update on the list of building repairs needed. 5) Van: Bruce Doig reported that
used school vans are unusable. 6) Steam Cleaner: The library has purchased a steam cleaner. 7)
Personnel: Patricia Cirone will be out on medical leave for 6 weeks beginning July 1. 8)
Security: There has been an increase in police walk - throughs for the month of June. 9) NOBLE:
Beverly staff did a presentation on the library's STEM programming at NOBLE Tech Expo. 10)
Space Planning: Ann Popp, Massachusetts Library System consultant, will visit the library to
help with space planning. 11) Cafe: Patricia Cirone is waiting to hear back from Mike Collins
and the Mayor before moving forward. 12) Landscaping: The city is planning to install a
sprinkler system on the front lawn, but no decision has been made on a final landscape design.
13) Trustee Vacancy: Patricia Cirone has not heard back from the Mayor regarding a trustee
replacement for Georgia Bills. 14) Upcoming Programming and Events: Summer reading kick-
off, Summer Sounds concert series, Meryl -Thon movie program, summer reading programs.

1) Library trustees reviewed the Acceptable Use Policy, the Public Internet Policy, and the
Security policy. 2) Library trustees took a tour of the Farms Branch Library to look at the
building's needed repairs.
The next meeting of the board will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Main
Library.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20 PM.
