MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2015

PRESENT: Commissioners Brean, Faulstich, Forgione, Mahoney, Nelson, Skerry, and Trefry
ABSENT: Commissioners Dawe and Dettorre
PUBLIC: Irvin Baptiste, Ace and Charlene Chase, Dave Graham, Bill Kossowan, Bob Mallard, Ken
Robinson, Wes Rosen, and Kendylle Wessell
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Mahoney called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for October 2015 — Chairman Mahoney called for a reading of the
minutes from the October 2015 meeting. Commissioner Faulstich made a motion to accept
the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Skerry. Motion passed unanimously.
Reading of the Financial Report for October 2015 — Airport Manager Mezzetti presented
the financial report for October 2015. Commissioner Faulstich made a motion to accept the
financial report, subject to audit. Commissioner Skerry seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) —
• Jacobs Engineering — Dave Graham updated the commission on the penetrations to
the airport RW 27 and 34 approaches (they are gone). Also, an obstruction light has
been added to the Axcelis building.
Chairman's Report — Chairman Mahoney reported meeting with City Hall regarding Fair
Market Rental Values of Building #45 and the Nike Road buildings. He also talked about
tree cutting costs and the CIP /ASMP meeting with FAA and MassDOT /Aeronautics at
Logan Airport.
B. OLD BUSINESS:
1. Subcommittee Reports
• Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — This update was covered in the Chairman's
Report.
• Noise Abatement Subcommittee — There were no noise complaints received in
November 2015.

• Facility Maintenance — No Report
• Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner Forgione said the website
received 1,750 hits in October 2015.
• Other — Commissioner Skerry reported that the land sale /rent RFP was stalled at
City Hall and that, per City Hall, the RFP opening was put off a month, from
11/12/15 to 12/15/15.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fees, New
Admin Building project, airport consultant interview notification, Battistelli hangar construction,
MassDOT /Aeronautics Airport Pavement Marking Program, Vegetation Management Plan (VMP), ,
CIP meeting, airport security cameras, cable show, obstruction light, tree penetrations, and restaurant
RFP.
D. NEW BUSINESS:
Commissioner Skerry made a motion to extend the cell tower lease for a full twenty -five
(25) years. It currently has eleven (11) years to go but the cell tower company needs the
extension to be able to market sublessees on the tower. The motion was seconded by
Commissioner Brean, and passed unanimously.
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
Wes Rosen reported that FAA plates still reflect that RW 16 -34 is 5,000' long instead of
5,001' long.
• Bill Kossowan provided FAA updates on drones..
F. COMMISSION COMMENTS: None
