Other Business
Chairman Kelley commented on a letter previously received concerning the Bass River Tennis
Club. Chairman Kelley had a telephone conversation with William Kelly, Counsel to the ABCC
regarding the issue raised. Mr. Kelly stated that it there is a gray area. He suggested that the
local licensing board put the club on notice. Do the members of the club bring in alcohol for
than personal consumption or are do they share with others? Because the club does not have a
license, they are technically in violation. If members are distributing alcohol to other members,
that maybe a violation.
Chairman Kelley requested the Clerk to provide a copy of the letter from Bass River's attorney
for his further review. The issue will be discussed further at the next full meeting of the Board.
Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:40 pm.
Next meeting: Thursday, March 10, 2011 in the Council Chambers.
Respectfully submitted,
Martha A. Lewis, Cler
