Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Joanne Panunzio made the motion, seconded by Marshall Handly, to accept the minutes of the
regular meeting of March 24, 2015 as read. Motion passed.

Personnel: No report.

Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) FY2015 Budget: Overall the budget looks good. 2) FY2016 Budget: Patricia Cirone met with
the Mayor and Bryant Ayles to discuss the proposed FY2016 budget. Patricia Cirone proposed
shifting the costs of Laserfiche to the city's IT department. 2) Building: The work on the front
steps is done. Waiting for new shelving for third floor to arrive. 3) Van: The library's van did not
pass inspection and will not be repaired. The library has temporarily borrowed a van from the
Recreation Department. 4) MLA Conference: Several staff members will be attending the annual
MLA conference. 5) Security: Patricia Cirone and Bruce Doig have discussed the lack of police
walk - throughs. Kevin O'Reilly will write a letter to the Mayor outlining the library's concerns.
6) Trustee Vacancy: Patricia Cirone is waiting to hear back from the Mayor regarding a trustee
replacement for Georgia Bills. 7) New Digital Offerings: IndieFlix and Universal Class. 8)
Landscaping: Patricia Cirone reported that there has been no movement forward on the
landscaping for the front of the library. 9) Capstone: Capstone has sustained a lot more damage,
with exposed rebar and crumbling stone. Mike Collins is aware of the problem and exploring a
temporary fix. 10) Upcoming Programs and Events: Monday Mornings; book bouquets program;
story hours; art exhibit and reception; Boston Typewriter Orchestra; Summer Sounds.

New Business
1) Meeting with Mayor: Kevin O'Reilly reported on his meeting with the Mayor, Bruce Doig
and Marshall Handly. Bruce Doig and a trustee member will attend library department head
meetings and individual meetings with Patricia Cirone and Anna Langstaff. The Mayor will
make his final determination in May or June.
The next meeting of the board will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Main Library.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7PM.
