Others present: Patricia Cirone, Anna Langstaff, Bill Panunzio, Dave Altman, Tony Behrle,
Carla Cox, Katherine Cirone

Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Joanne Panunzio made the motion, seconded by Marshall Handly, to accept the minutes of the
regular meeting of November 25, 2014 as read. Motion passed.

Personnel: No report.

Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) Construction: Construction project is moving along. 2) Trustee Vacancy: Georgia Bills will
not be requesting a re- appointment. 3) Security: Patricia Cirone met with the Mayor, the Chief of
Police and Bruce Doig to discuss security concerns. 4) Programs: Miss Liz Music; Pie Day
January 22, 2015; Realm of Readers; winter story hours and afterschool programs start January
4, 2015.

Unfinished Business
1) Cafe: Changes to first draft of cafe plan may reduce the original estimated cost of $150,000.
2) Security: Patricia Cirone met with the Mayor, the Chief of Police and Bruce Doig to discuss
security concerns. The police will institute four police walk - throughs per day.
New Business
1) Beverly Newspapers: Patricia Cirone is moving forward with digitization of old Beverly
newspapers. 2) Child Safety Policy: Patricia Cirone discussed the need to update the Unattended
Child Policy and re -name it the Child Safety Policy. After some discussion, Marshall Handly
made the motion, seconded by Myron Schirer- Suter, to:
accept the Child Safety Policy as presented. Motion passed.
The next meeting of the board will be Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 6:30 PM at the Main Library.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20PM.
