1702-06-04 (2)June 4, 1702. The above said committee made return, that they had sold twenty poles of land to John Stone of Beverly on the southeasterly side of the lot, which the said Stone bought of James Whittridge it being all the land said Stone had fenced in of the town common within his fence at the time. At the same time the above said committee made return that they had sold to Richard Ober forty four poles of the town's common on the northern side of his lands all within the then wall on the side, with liberty to set his fence right over the swamp on the south side of his land and so along the ledge of rocks.
