1700-11-22 (2)[Selectmen's Meeting November 22, 1700] At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 22nd day of November, 1700, Constable John Tuck brought the following receipts, viz: Beverly, August 8, 1700. Then received of John Tuck, Constable of said town, six pounds in money, in part of the town rate committed to him to collect. I say received by Joseph Herrick, Town Treasurer Beverly the 22nd November, 1700. Received by me Joseph Herrick, Town Treasurer, of John Tuck, Constable, the sum of five pounds, upon the account of part of a town rate committed to said Tuck to gather. I say received by me, Joseph Herrick. Beverly's the 22nd of November 1700. Then received by me, Joseph Herrick, Town Treasurer, of John Tuck, Constable, the sum of five pounds in part of a rate made for Mr. Hale's salary, committed to said Tuck to collect. I say received by me Joseph Herrick.
