Dear Councilors
There will be a S pecial Meeting on Thursday July 2, 2015 at 6:00 pm for the purpose of appointing
a new City Clerk effective August 1, 2015.
The hiring team consisting of myself, Jason Silva and Estelle Rand have viewed some thirty
resumes and on June 17 we all agreed on interviewing the same top 6 candidates.
Two of the candidates were outstanding and they were asked back for a second interview on Friday

The hiring team was unable to come to a unanimous decision so I thought it might be a good idea
to bring both candidates before the Council at a Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday
before the Special Council Meeting but unfortunately one of the candidates has withdrawn from the
process.
I have asked the City Clerk to post a Committee of the Whole /(Hiring Team) Meeting for 5:30 on
Thursday beforethe Special Meetingfor discussion and questions regarding the process wetook in
appointing the new City Clerk.
