At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 30th day of October, 1704, were two lists of a town rate made, and
committed to Henry Herrick and John Lovett junr., Constables of Beverly, amounting to £68:16:11;
Constable Henry Herrick's list amounting to £35:08:07 which he is to collect and pay into the Selectmen;
Constable John Lovett's list amounting to £33:08:04, which he is to collect and pay into the Selectmen.
