1704-09-15[Selectmen's Meeting September 15, 17041 At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 15 of September, 1704, Samuel Corning junr. brought the following receipt. Received of Samuel Corning, Constable of Beverly, the sum of four pounds, fourteen shillings upon the account of the County of Essex; received in full of his [illegible] ordered to be paid us. Ipswich, January 31, 1703/4. John Appleton, County Treasurer The two lists of the town rate entered down in the following leaf made the 30"' of October, 1704, and committed to Henry Herrick and John Lovett junr., Constables of Beverly, with a warrant to each list empowering them to collect the sums therein set down, requiring them to pay the sum which they collect, to the Town Treasurer or Selectmen or to whom they shall appoint, and to make up an accept of their collection by the 10 Of March 1704/5. At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 15th September, 1704, Senior Corning junr. brought the following receipt. Boston December 3, 1703. Received of Mr. Samuel Corning, Constable of Beverly, thirty three pounds, twelve shillings in part. Received for Mr. James Taylor, Treasurer. Jer.
