1704-07-07[Selectmen's Meeting July 7, 1704] At a meeting of the Selectmen of the town of Beverly, on the 7th day of July, 1704, Isaac Woodbury brought an account of one hundred forty and six days, that he had served at the General Court held at Boston, a representative of the town of Beverly at several sessions of said court, from the 10th day of March, 1702/3, to the 21st day of April, 1704, at three shillings per day £21:18:00 and said Woodbury also brought an accept of three pounds, he had received of Constable Samuel Corning, by virtue of an order from the Selectmen. At the same meeting of the Selectmen on 7 July, 1704, were two lists of Mr. Thomas Blowers' rate for the year 1704 made, amounting to £90:02:07, whereof three pounds and three shillings is set on the inhabitants of Ryal Side, said lists being committed unto Henry Herrick and John Lovett junr. Constables of Beverly, the list committed to Henry Herrick to collect amounting to £47:08:10; he to pay on to Mr. Thomas Blowers £42:15:03; and the less committed to John Lovett junr. mounting to £42:03:09, he to collect and pay into Mr. Thomas Blowers £37:03:09, and the overplus they are to pay into the town Treasurer or Selectmen of the town of Beverly, for the use of said town, each list with a warrant requiring them to respectively, to make up their accept by the first day of March next ensuing the date hereof.
