1703-09-28[Selectmen's Meeting September 28, 17031 At a meeting of the Selectmen of the town of Beverly on the 28th day of September, 1703, were two lists made of a County rate with warrant thereon, and committed to Jonathan Rayment and Samuel Corning, Constables, the sum amounting to £10:07:04; Constable Raymond's list is £5:06:11, and Constable Coming's list is£5:07:05, and Constable Jonathan Rayment is to pay the County Treasurer five pounds and Samuel Corning, Constable to pay the Treasurer £4: 07:14. At the same meeting of the Selectmen of the town of Beverly, on the 28th day of September, 1703, were two lists of Mr. Blowers' rate made for his salary for the year 1703, and delivered to Jonathan Rayment & Samuel Corning, Constables, amounting to the sum of £89:19:02, but there is £37:15 of said sum set and proportioned on our neighbors at Ryal Side, the sum on Constable Jonathan Rayment's list is £47: 12:10; the sum on Constable Samuel Coming's list is £40:16:04, the sum which Constable Jonathan Rayment is to collect and pay in unto Mr. Blowers is £43 and the sum which Constable Samuel Corning is to collect and pay in unto Mr. Blowers is £37, and the overplus they are to pay into the Town Treasurer or Selectmen, for the use of said town of Beverly.
