Selectmen 1703-03-16March 16, 1702/3. Lot Conant who was one of the constables of Beverly in the year 1701, brought the following receipt. Received of Lot Conant formally Constable in Beverly, the sum of five pounds, eighteen shillings, which he paid to Sheriff Gedney, which said sum was committed to him to collect by the selectmen of Beverly, upon the account of the County of Essex.
