1703-03-12[Selectmen's Meeting March 12, 1703] At a meeting of the Selectmen the 12th day of March, 1702/3, was a bill drawn upon Constable Samuel Herrick, to pay to Edward Rayment for a pair of shoes for Joshua Turland in the year 1702. At the same time was a bill drawn upon Constable Herrick to pay to William Bradford four shillings for a rope for the bell. At the same meeting of the Selectmen reckoned with Jonathan Rayment, for serving the town as a Clerk in the year 1702, and there remains due to the said Rayment nineteen shillings; at the same time was a bill drawn upon Constable Herrick, for the payment of the same. At the same time reckoned with Mr. Robert Briscoe, for the Selectmen's charges for the year 1702, and for what was expended upon the court and jury to lay out the way to Manchester and there is due to the said Briscoe three pounds and five shillings; at the same time was a bill drawn upon Constable Wallis for the payment of the same. At the same time was a bill drawn upon Constable Wallis to pay to Deacon Hill seven pounds and ten shillings, for maintaining Joshua Turland in the year 1702.
