1702-01-19[Selectmen's Meeting January 19, 1702]
At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 19th day of January 1701/2 was a County rate made and committed
to Constable Lot Conant in Constable Benjamin Ellingwood amounting to 12 pounds 2 shillings 4 pence
with warrant to each list, whereof Lot Conant's part to collect and pay to the County Treasurer being 5
pounds 18 shillings and Benjamin Ellingwood's part to collect and pay to the County Treasurer being 6
pounds 11 shillings 4 pence.
At the same meeting of the Selectmen reckoned with Peter Woodbury for putting in a new post, and
mending the vane of our meeting house and putting up said vane and there is due to him from the town 10
shillings.
