1702-01-15[Selectmen's Meeting January 15, 1702] At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 15 of January, 1701/2, reckoned with Simon Lovett for being sexton, and digging John Knights' grave, & glass & there remains due to said Lovett three pounds & two shillings, upon balance of all accounts. At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 15th day of January 1701/2, were two lists of assessments made and committed to Constable Lot Conant and to Constable Benjamin Ellingwood with warrants to each list amounting to 133 pounds 18 shillings 6 pence being a tax for the raising of money to pay the Rev. Mr. Blowers eighty pounds whereof for his salary for the year 1701, and sixty pounds for his settling of himself in the town of Beverly, the list committed to Lot Conant to collect being 65 pounds 17 shillings 6 pence and the list committed to Benjamin Ellingwood to collect being 68 pounds 1 shilling.
