At a meeting of the Selectmen on 16 of April, 1701 was a town rate made and committed to Lot Conant
and Benjamin Ellingwood, with warrants to each list to collect and pay into the Town Treasurer for the
use of said town amounting to 55 pounds 1 shilling whereof Constable Lot Conant's part to collect is 25
pounds 15 shillings 4 pence and Constable Benjamin Ellingwood's part is 28 pounds 6 shillings.
