Noon today MaryAnn met with the Board to discuss the FY "16 budget to be proposed_

Building
The damage to the A/C unit from our winter weather is now under repair_
Landscaping looking nice just waiting for spring flowers_
Friendly Garden Club will once again hold a plant sale at the Center on May 30_
Program and Events
• April 23 Earth Day Event —Three trees were planted at Gloucester Crossing and the entire
neighborhood was cleaned as a collaboration between NSCDC and Senior Center and
also Beverly Police, Beverly Public Services and several other entities_ A picnic lunch
was shared by all as a celebration of the great work accomplished__
• June 3 Mayor's Symposium on Age Friendly Beverly
• Breakfast Club held April 8 at BHS and April 30 at the Senior Center
• BCOA had a booth at a Volunteer Event held at Danversport Yacht Club_ Event was
funded by a mini -grant in honor of National Volunteer week_
• On April 18'', we hosted several Shore Country Day families for a Family Day of
Volunteering - Families made Earth Day Bags gifts and Cards for Meals on Wheels clients
• Breakfast Club will host its last meeting on April 30 Wonderful program and looking
forward to holding many more in the future_
• Student interns from BHS developed a Healthy Aging Workshop to be presented at St_
John's and St_ Mary's Schools_
• April 24 Volunteer Dinner — Lovely affair, one hundred volunteers attended_
• Devan Collins will be joining us as our Merrimack Graduate Fellow in August 2015
• June 13 World Elder Abuse Day_ More information to follow_

engagement fellow at Merrimack College
Molly and Andrea Rhodes from NSCDC led a Staff Training on Community Engagement for all
COA staff
