Meeting held October 16, 2014

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Muriel.
The minutes of the previous meeting, September 11, were approved as presented.
Muriel thanked those who attended the BevCam Annual Meeting. She referred to the awards list
and the number of BevCam productions receiving awards.
Don reported on his conversation with Russ Fisk re the architecture of the city -built I -Net and the
Commission's interest in an'as- built' diagram when work is finished.
Muriel led a point -by -point discussion of items in her memo of October 14 intended to be sent to
Paul Earl and Walt Kosmowski in preparation for our next joint meeting. The items have to do with
the installations at the library and Council on Aging.
Discussion was held on whether to include the topic of financial reporting compliance with the
installation projects or save that discussion for the March quarterly joint meeting. Muriel's concern
is to achieve progress on the installations first and take up the financial non - compliance separately.
There was general agreement.
Muriel will invite Kevin Harutunian, the Mayor's Chief of Staff, to our November meeting to
acquaint him with the unresolved issues with BevCam we intend to take up in December.
Discussion was held on setting up procedures and a form for handling complaints. Eric suggested
making a PSA referring complaints to the Commission. Muriel thought it better to wait until we had
a procedure in place first. All agreed.
Muriel reported on a telephone conversation with a complainant. She is waiting for a written
statement.
Eric reported on a phone call complaint about degraded signal and Eric advised the caller to
take it up with Comcast. A supervisor resolved the issue for him but not for a neighbor with the
same complaint. Eric suggested we call year 2015 the Year of Compliance.
Alex reported on the anticipated shut -down of customer service at Comcast's Tozer Road location.
Al reported on his cable service problems with Time - Warner in New Hampshire.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM
The next meeting is scheduled for November 20 at 7:00 PM.
