Kevin O'Reilly presided.
Georgia Bills made the motion, seconded by Mary Behrle, to accept the minutes of the regular
meeting of April 22, 2014 as read. Motion passed.
Public Presentation

Committee Reports
Personnel: Georgia Bills will be sending out library director evaluation forms, to be returned to
her before the June meeting.
Administration: No report.
Finance: No report.
Long Range Planning: No report.
Report of the Library Director
1) FY2014 Budget: Patricia Cirone reviewed the FY2014 budget. 2) FY2015 Budget: The library
budget has been approved by Mayor Cahill as presented by Patricia Cirone. 3) Building: Roofing
work has begun. One staff member had a severe allergic reaction to the fumes of the roofing
glue. 4) Book Expo America: Patricia Cirone reported that she will be at BEA the rest of the
week. 5) Massachusetts Library Association Conference: Patricia Cirone attended the MLA
conference. 6) Programs: Touch a Truck, summer reading programs, film series, school visits,
iPad program, and telescope kick -off

Unfinished Business
1) Bookmobile Trust Fund: Trust fund has not been set up. 2) 3D Printer: Training on 3D printer
has begun. 3) Cafe: Patricia Cirone has contacted company to develop plans for cafe area.
New Business
None
The next meeting of the board will be Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 6:30 PM at the Farms Branch
Library.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 PM.
