MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
MONDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2014
LOCATION. Beverly Airport Administration/Maintenance Building, 46 L. P. Henderson Road,
Beverly, MA, 01915
PRESENT: Commissioners Dawe, DiPaolo, Faulstich, Forgione, Mahoney, Skerry, Vitale, and
White
ABSENT: Commissioners Dettorre and Nelson
PUBLIC: Alan Battistelli, Tony Bettencourt, Wes Rosen, Ken Robinson, Bill Kossowan, and
Craig Schuster
A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
1. Pledge of Allegiance
2. Reading of the Minutes for September 2014 — Chairman Vitale called for a reading
of the minutes from the September meeting. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a
motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Faulstich. Motion
passed unanimously.
3. Reading of the Financial Report for September 2014 — Commissioner White
presented the financial report for September 2014. Commissioner Dawe made a
motion to accept the financial report, subject to audit. Vice Chairman Mahoney
seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
4. Presentation(s) —
• Alan Battistelli made a presentation of his proposed hangar development near
the RW27 run -up area.
• Jacob's Engineering — Craig Schuster updated the commission on Phase V of
the West Ramp reconstruction project, the MALS repair project, and the FYI
airport C. I. P. project.
5. Chairman's Report —
• Chairman Vitale said he would like to have a tabletop disaster exercise
scheduled.
• Chairman Vitale requested Airport Manager Mezzetti to contact Ace Chase to
inquire about the availability of Hangar #4 for a December BAC meeting and
Christmas celebration.

B. OLD BUSINESS:
1) Subcommittee Reports
• Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the
commission on the Administration Building's progress.
• Noise Abatement Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney reported that there
were no reported noise complaints in September.
• Facility Maintenance — Commissioner Faulstich reported on the status of
tenants leaving Building #45 and for the Airport Manager to shut off the
utilities when he notifies the Manager to do so.
• Website Management Subcommittee — Commissioner Forgione reported that
there were 1,624 hits on the airport's website in September 2014.
• Public Relations Subcommittee — Commissioner DiPaolo said he has restocked
all the locations that have BVY airport brochures and will include the local
Chamber of Commerce.
• Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee — Commissioner Skerry reported that
there was nothing new.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly
landing fee collection, West Ramp Reconstruction Project, MALS repair status, FYI
C. I. P. meeting, parcel RFP status, MassDOT /Aeronautics BVY security camera
status, airport name change status, letter to Mayor requesting he request City Council
to declare the airport's remaining non - aviation use parcels as surplus, informed the
commission that an appraiser will be updating the appraisals on the remaining parcels.
D. NEW BUSINESS: None
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
• Ken Robinson said the contractors have done an overall great job on the West Ramp.
• Tony Bettencourt said aircraft are coming close to his neighborhood again.
• North Shore Aero Club reported it has 65 members.
