2014-09BEVERLY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2014 LOCATION. Beverly Airport Administration/Maintenance Building, 46 L. P. Henderson Road, Beverly, MA, 01915 PRESENT: Commissioners Dettorre, DiPaolo, Faulstich, Mahoney, Skerry, Vitale, and White ABSENT: Commissioners Dawe, Forgione, and Nelson PUBLIC: Paul Beaulieu, Dave Graham, Phil Lake, Arne Nordeide, Wes Rosen, Ken Robinson, and Dave Savage A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Reading of the Minutes for August 2014 — Chairman Vitale called for a reading of the minutes from the August meeting. Commissioner White made a motion to accept the minutes, seconded by Commissioner Faulstich. Motion passed unanimously. 3. Reading of the Financial Report for August 2014 — Commissioner White presented the financial report for August 2014. Vice Chairman Mahoney made a motion to accept the financial report, subject to audit. Commissioner Faulstich seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 4. Presentation(s) — • Jacob's Engineering — Dave Graham reported that the West Ramp Reconstruction Project was proceeding very well. He also reported that the obstructions at the end of RW34 and RW27 were removed. 5. Chairman's Report — • Chairman Vitale and the commission talked at length about the proposed Paul Beaulieu flight instructor operation called Perception Prime Flight. Chairman Vitale asked for a motion. Commissioner Faulstich made a motion to accept Paul Beaulieu's flight instruction proposal at Building #54. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Dettorre. The motion passed with six (6) yay's and one (1) nay. • Chairman Vitale said it would be standard procedure to call police to detain any airport trespasser. 1 BEVERLY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2014 B. OLD BUSINESS: 1) Subcommittee Reports • Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney updated the commission on the Administration Building project and the new New England Academy building near the end of RW34. He also told the commission that Building #45 would hopefully be down before winter. • Noise Abatement Subcommittee — No noise complaints received in August. • Facility Maintenance — No Report • Website Management Subcommittee — No Report • Public Relations Subcommittee — No Report • Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee — No Report C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT: • Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly landing fee collection, West Ramp Reconstruction Project, MALS repair, new Admin Building project, penetration removals to RW27 and RW34, Wings of Freedom Tour cancellation, airport security cameras, C. I. P. meeting, and a needed DBE legal advertisement. D. NEW BUSINESS: None E. TENANT COMMENTS: • BVY ATC Manager, Wes Rosen, reported the August traffic count was down 1,000 compared to August last year. F. COMMISSION COMMENTS: None G.
