MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING

PRESENT: Commissioners Dawe, Dettorre, DiPaolo, Faulstich, Mahoney, Skerry, Vitale, and
White
ABSENT: Commissioners Forgione and Nelson

A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.

2. Reading of the Minutes for June 2014 — There were no minutes; the June BAC
meeting was cancelled due to a lack of quorum.
3. Reading of the Financial Report for June 2014 — There was no financial report
presented for June 2014; the June BAC meeting was cancelled due to a lack of
quorum.

5. Chairman's Report — Chairman Vitale...
• Reported that Clark L'Abbe is no longer associated with the Collings
Foundation Wings of Freedom Tour
• Reported that the antiques and classic car show that has appeared along with
the Wings of Freedom Tour (Wings & Wheels) might not appear this year
• Voiced his concern about having a lack of quorum at BAC meetings
• Requested BAC approval to pay his attorney fees that were incurred due to
slanderous letters he received from the former airport restaurant operator

• Property/Legal/Finance Subcommittee — Vice Chairman Mahoney discussed
the RFS process we went through for the Admin Building OPM. He further
discussed the interview process and the need to sell land for our CIP program.
He would like someone from the commission to handle the land sale RFP's. He
also went over the MassDOT /Aeronautics meeting that he and Airport
Manager Mezzetti attended regarding the new Admin Building. He suggested
having a meeting in late August to discuss our financial profile.
• Noise Abatement Subcommittee — No complaints were received.
• Facility Maintenance — Commissioner Faulstich reported brush growing along
Hangars #2, #6, and #12, bird nests on Hangar #3, vines growing up Building
#49 spouts, and junk in back of Hangar #47.
• Website Management Subcommittee — No Report
• Public Relations Subcommittee — Commissioner DiPaolo discussed Beverly
Homecoming and if there was any interest in having an airport event.
• Airport Safety & Security Subcommittee — Commissioner Skerry reported on
the "On the Hill" and Aviation Caucus events he attended at the State House.
C. AIRPORT MANAGER'S REPORT:
Airport Manager Mezzetti reported on the monthly aircraft traffic count, monthly
landing fee collection, West Ramp Reconstruction Project, runway and taxiway crack
repair and crack sealing, City Council budget increase approval, MALS repair status,
airship parking, airport marketing initiative update, Admin Building OPM status, cell
tower lease extension request, and the concern of not having a quorum at BAC
meetings.
D. NEW BUSINESS:
Proposed Flight School Operation — Meeting will be held on August 5 th with
proponent Paul Beaulieu
Cell Tower Lease Extension Request — Disapproved; the cell tower lessee wanted too
long an extension (75 years)
E. TENANT COMMENTS:
• Ace Chase reported five deer sightings and one coyote.

• Bill Kossowan attended the Plymouth Airport Open House.
• Joe Gibbons reported on North Shore Aero Club activities.
Ken Robinson requested a 5 th addendum to his lease to rent an additional 50,000 S. F.
of land for an aircraft apron. Commissioner White mad a motion to approve the
addendum and forward it to City Hall; motion was seconded by Commissioner
Dettorre. Motion passed unanimously.

G. ADJOURNMENT
Motion to adjourn regular session made by Commissioner White, seconded by Commissioner
Faulstich. Motion passed unanimously.
