The meeting is called to order at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Finch introduces the first agenda item.
1. Sign: Woodbury Food Market, 157 Essex Street
Mr. Juralewicz of United Sign Company presented an application two signs which would
be mounted above the two entrance ways into the new building at 157 Essex Street. He
said that each sign will be 27" x 89 ". The letters will be 3 /4" thick composed of PVC and
both signs will be externally illuminated. The colors of the signs will be dark green with
red and imitation gold.
Ms. Zambernardi commented that she had a concern about the height location of the
signs and its impact on the overall rhythm of the structure. She noted upon further review
of the architectural elevation drawings that awnings will be over the windows, which
would alleviate this concern.
Ms. Zambernardi made a motion to accept the sign as presented. Ms. Flannery seconded
the motion and it carried unanimously.
2. Signs: The Children's Piazza, 81 Bridge Street
Mr. Juralewicz of United Sign Company presented an application to replace the existing
sign currently on the facade of 81 Bridge Street. He stated the sign will have a teal
background with white letters and multi - colored squares at one end.
Ms. Brusca made a motion to accept the sign as presented. Ms. Flannery seconded the
motion and it carried unanimously.
3. Approval of Minutes: January 9, 2014 Regular Meeting
Ms. Flannery made a motion to approve the draft minutes of the January 9, 2014 regular
meeting. Ms. Brusca seconded the motion and it carried unanimously.

Ms. Zambernardi commented that the new City of Beverly Director of Planning, Aaron
Clausen, was going to stop into the meeting to introduce himself, however, he was
unavailable. Ms. Zambernardi mentioned that she has been having discussions with Mr.
Clausen about updating the City's design guidelines.
5. Adjournment
Ms. Flannery made a motion to adjourn. Ms. Zambernardi seconded the motion and it
carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
