2014-02 (Special Meeting)BEVERLY MUNICIPAL AIRPORT MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2014 LOCATION. Beverly Airport Administration/Maintenance Building, 46 L. P. Henderson Road, Beverly, MA, 01915 PRESENT: Commissioners Dawe, Dettorre, DiPaolo, Faulstich, Forgione, Mahoney, Skerry, Vitale, and White ABSENT: Commissioners Barnico and Nelson PUBLIC: David Meuse A. CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Vitale called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM. • Pledge of Allegiance B. NEW BUSINESS: Options for Building #45 (Restaurant & Offices) A discussion was held regarding the future of Building #45. Discussion centered on what option to pursue e.g. 1.) Keep both the restaurant and office portions open as we are presently doing, 2.) Close off the restaurant and keep the office portion, and 3.) Close down both restaurant and office portion. It was decided to close the restaurant portion down until it became known if BVY would get a new administration building and, if so, the cost to include a new restaurant in it. Rent adjustments were also discussed. Commissioner Faulstich pointed out inconsistencies in rent e.g. some tenants paying more than others and having less space and that all tenants were paying below market value rent. Proposed new rents: • A Cleaner Tomorrow will now pay $340.00 per month instead of $150.00 per month • Coastal Pool will now pay $750.00 per month instead of $450.00 per month • DayDream Designs will now pay $700.00 per month instead of $500.00 per month but will also rent the former doctor's waiting room • PopMed (Dr. Koh) will now pay $200.00 per month instead of $350.00 per month and cannot use the furnace room for additional storage C. MOTION: Commissioner DiPaolo mad a motion to accept the new rents that would take effect on May 1, 2014. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Dettorre. Motion passed unanimously. That amount will be added to a request to City Council that includes other budget accounts that require money. D.
