At a meeting of the Assessors on the 13 of September, 1699, were two lists of county assessments made,
the list for Mackerel Cove Ward being £20:09:10, committed to Richard Patch, Constable, to pay to the
treasurer £18:15:00 the list for Bass River Ward being £19:16:04, and committed to William Dodge,
Constable, he to pay into the treasurer £ 18:15:00.
