1698-02-11[Selectmen's Meeting, February 11, 1698]
At a meeting of the Selectmen on the 11th day of February 1697/8 was an order given unto Lieut. Thomas
West, to receive of Constable Cornelius Larcom the sum of forty shillings money, of the town's money
now in said Larcom's hands, said forty shillings in money to be improved for the relief of some poor in
our town.
At the same meeting of the Selectmen was also an order given to Mr. Thomas Woodbury senr., to receive
of Constable William Cleaves forty shillings money, out of the town's money now in said Cleave's hands
to be improved for the use above said.
