1698-08-17[Town Meeting August 17, 1698]
At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Beverly, on the 17th day of August, 1698, it was
voted and ordered, that there shall be a town rate of twenty pounds money, made for the repairing of our
meeting house, and any other town business if there be any overplus in said twenty pounds, more than is
needful for the repairing the meeting house as above said.
