1697-05-23[Town Meeting May 23, 1697]
At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Beverly, on the 23rd day of May, 1697, Lieut. John
Dodge, Deacon John Hill and Mr. Samuel Corning senr., were chosen to serve on the grand jury, at the
next general sessions of the peace and inferior court of pleas, to be holden at Salem on the last Tuesday of
this instant June, and so for the year ensuing, & William Dodge junr., the Nathaniel Rayment, Henry
Herrick junr. And Joseph Dodge junr., were also chosen to serve on the jury of trials, for the court
abovesaid.
