1696-03-10[Selectmen's Meeting March 10, 1696] At a meeting of the Selectmen March the 10th, 1696 was a country rate made amounting in the whole to five pounds and fourteen shillings; Constable John Trask his list being £02:18:8, two pounds and five shillings thereof to be paid into the County Treasurer for the time being on or before the first day of April next, and Constable John Balch his list being £2:15:04, he also to pay into the County Treasurer £02:05:00 according to time above said, and the remainder of each list they are to return to the Selectmen for the use of the town.
