1696-02-27[Selectmen's Meeting February 27, 1695]
February the 27th, 1695/6. At a meeting of the Selectmen then reckoned with Lieut. William Dodge, with
respect to a record bearing date the 16:1:1692/3, and he the said Lieut. William Dodge is now paid
00:13:05 in pay, and twelve shillings and five pence in pay, and the town now remains in the said Lieut.
Dodge's debt on the account above said, the sum of 0:08:11 in pay, and 0:05:09 money.
February 27, 1695/6. At a meeting of the Selectmen and committee, Capt. William Raymond brought the
following receipt, viz.: received of Capt. William Raymond this 19th day of November in the year of our
Lord God, 1695, the full and just some of eight pounds, eighteen shillings and three pence, which is the
full sum given me at the Superior Court, held at Salem on thel2th of November 1695, which bill of costs
was given against him the said Capt. Raymond, and Deacon John Hill, Capt. John Dodge, Lieut. Andrew
Elliott and Lieut. William Dodge as a committee for the Town of Beverly. I say received by the Benjamin
Edwards of Wenham, in full satisfaction as witness my hand.
